This season, baritone Weston Hurt makes his debut at the Austin Lyric Opera as Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor, and appears in concert in Boston, Amarillo, Tampa, and St. Petersburg. Other recent opera engagements have included Cecil in Maria Stuarda at the Canadian Opera Company, Germont in La Traviata and Ford in Falstaff at the Seattle Opera, Sharpless in Madama Butterfly at the New York City Opera and the Atlanta Opera, Schaunard in La Boheme at the Dallas Opera, Peter in Hansel and Gretel at the Portland Opera, Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor at the Arizona Opera, the Count in Le nozze di Figaro at the Michigan Opera Theater, Frank in Die Tote Stadt at the New York City Opera, Baldassare in L'Arlesiana with the Opera Orchestra of New York, and a performance of Der fern Klang with the American Symphony Orchestra in Avery Fisher Hall.
